Hernando Leal-Gómez is a versatile and very innovative international musician. His musical work focuses in the fields of historically informed performance practice and the contemporary music.
Appearances as a soloist and chamber musician in major music centers has taken him to many countries in Europa, Asia, North and South America.
As a focus of his artistic work, he understand a stylistically versatile orientation: both in the field of historical performance practice of ancient music as well as in the field of classical and modern playing techniques have led him to play on a variety of historical and modern flutes.
An important part of his flute repertoire is dedicated to the interpretation of contemporary music by composers such as: Salvatore Sciarrino, Heinz Holliger, Louis Andriessen, Toshio Hosokawa, Klaus Huber, Robert Dick, Jürg Wyttenbach, Rudolf Kelterborn, Toru Takemitsu, Kazuo Fukushima, Isang Yun, and Blas E. Atehortua among others.

Regular appearances as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Argentina, Italy, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Mexico.
