The "International Flute Academy" is a non-profit one week master class for flute. The Flute Academy has generated a considerable international response.
As part of this academy, Hernando Leal is in contact with well-known flutists and lecturers.
The following renowned flutists have participated in the flute academy:
Peter-Lukas Graf, Henrik Wiese, Vincent Lucas, Sarah Louvion, Samuel Coles, Michael Kofler, János Bálint and Philipp Jundt.
The academy includes flute lessons, training for auditions, concerts and seminars from the Baroque to the Modern music. It also supports particularly gifted students. Several former students of this Academy are already enrolled at various music colleges in Europe and Latin America.
International Flute Days
The "International Flute Days" is a non-profit 5-day summer master class founded by the initiative of Hernando Leal-Gómez.
Prof. Henrik Wiese is his musical partner and participate as well as a flute lecturer in the master class.
This International Flute meeting is an unconventional master class, focusing on the chamber music and flute ensembles, the preparation of orchestral excerpts as well as the stylistic and historical study of important flute compositions.
The participants work stylistically and technically and play on different flutes (from bassflute to piccolo), from baroque to modern music. Interactive seminars, lectures and concerts complete this educational offer.
Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences
Hernando Leal-Gomez is a lecturer for the specialist areas of modern flute and historically informed performance practice (baroque and classical transverse flutes) at the Swiss Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences.
Swiss Flute Studio
The Swiss Flute Studio is a space dedicated to the flute where students and professionals as well as amateur musicians will be able to discover new musical perspectives.
